Gruffalo's Truffalo's
This months Highlight was the creative thinking of a team who came up with Gruffalos Truffalo's which was based on the popular children's book series, the idea was you told a story and ate the chocolates based on the characters and parts of the reading, the idea could be rolled out to other popular books such as Horrid Henry.
Although the idea was great the pitch did not stack up under the pressure of the Judging panel,however we loved the idea so much tat we thought we would post it on our news page!

HRD Solutions
We teamed up with HRD Solutions to put on a Bespoke Chocolatiers Apprentice Challenge for one of their leading clients at the Chewton Glen Hotel in October. The purpose of the event was the to integrate 2 key new senior managers to the team, build new relationships prior to major decisions being made. The team were incredibly creative and even filmed there own advert.
We are hoping to work again with HRD Solutions in the new year, they were a pleasure to work with, as was there client.

Graduate Team Bonding Event
Withers Worldwide enjoyed another highly successful Graduate team building event with us. 13 new recruits took part in our Chocolatiers Apprentice Challenge. The chocolates and the new recruits were all of an extremely high standard.

Ace Of Cakes
Its a sweet summer this year for Das,
They raised nearly a thousand pounds for their charity in there Ace of Cakes team building event in Bristol.
There were some of the delegates were some real sweeties!

Dough Boys
Following the success of the previous development programmes we have run with Computacenter, we decided to get their management team to take over a prestigious North London Bakery for the day, the team were put through a crash course in baking bread biscuits and Danish pastries, they worked with professional bakers to produce 100's of items, early the next morning they had to sell their items at Broad gate Market in the heart of the city, they managed to raise over £1800 which Computacenter then matched to £3600 which was split between 3 charities, well done chaps! this makes a total of over £7000 you now raised with these events. The biggest compliment we have ever received was said by one of your team "this is the best team building event I have ever done and perhaps the best working days of my life", we look forward to the next one Helen!

All Abord For Paris
The Highlight of this month was going to Paris with TUI, following our chocolate apprentice event we ran with them last year in Brussels they decided to do something different so we decided on a cupcake challenge in which teams had to make and ice a centrepiece cake with over 40 cupcakes per team! The idea was to theme the cakes with a French concept that could be rolled out to promote France as a tourist destination, the group were very creative and we had everything from the Eifel tower to Napoleon! Thank you TUI for another fantastic opportunity to work with you and your team I think we enjoyed it as much as you!

Master Classes
We were proud to be asked back by the lovely people at Claysmore school to host a variety of classes in the half term, we ran a fish, and bread master classes, on the fish day guests had practical sessions on how to skin, gut, fillet and pin bone a variety of fish this was concluded by a freestyle session with the chef cooking the prepared fish in a variety of ways to include pan frying and poaching techniques.
The bread class included making and baking Fougasse, ciabatta, focaccia dinner rolls and loafs with Paul the Baker from the Chewton Glen

Confex 2011
March has been an eventful month for us, we have run cookery events for John Lewis, B&Q and BUPA to name a few. We were also at Exhibiting at Confex in Earls Court again this year giving away 1000's of belgian chocolates and promoting a range of new and exciting events such as our 2 day development programmes for senior management teams putting them through their paces by taking over a food outlet for 48 hours and raising money for the companies charity at the same time!
